Your court day on one screen: item number, court room, VC link and display board
The five things an advocate looks up for every hearing, where each one is published, and a Today view that puts them on one row for each case.
· 5 min read
An advocate with four hearings on a day looks up the same five things for each one: the date, the item number, the court room, the video link, and where the court has reached. Each is published in a different place. This guide lists where each one lives and shows how Nyayakosh puts them on one screen.
Five lookups for every hearing
- The next date. In the case status on eCourts, or in the eCourts app's My Cases.
- The item number. In the court's cause list for the day: a portal page for a district court, a PDF for a High Court.
- The court room. On the district court's website, in its list of judicial officers.
- The video link. On the same list, or on the High Court's cause list.
- Where the court has reached. On the High Court's display board.
Four hearings can mean twenty lookups, and the item number has to be read again if the list is revised.
One screen for the day
The Today view lists the day's hearings from the cases you track. They are grouped by court building, because a day with three matters at Rohini and one at Saket is planned by building first.
Rohini Courts · 2 matters · list read 7:10 am

- Item31
High Court of Delhi · 1 matter · list read 6:45 am

Each part of the row has its own guide:
- Item number. Read from the court's list for district courts and the Delhi High Court. How to find your item number without opening the PDF.
- Room and video link. Matched from a directory of Delhi district courts and the High Court. Delhi court room numbers and VC links.
The view reaches 21 days ahead, so the same screen answers tomorrow and next week.
Where the court has reached
For a High Court matter, the display board shows the item each court is on. Nyayakosh reads the boards of the High Courts of Delhi, Bombay, Allahabad and Madhya Pradesh, and adds the time each item last changed.

"Can I take this date?"
A judge offers a date and you have a few seconds to answer. The date check takes one date and tells you what you already have on it.
Can I take this date?
3 hearings on Wed, 4 Nov 2026, across 2 complexes
Rohini Courts2
- State v. Accused Q · SC 412/2024
- Complainant R v. Accused B · CC 96/2025
Saket Courts1
- Plaintiff S v. Defendant T · CS (COMM) 88/2025
- Day before: 1 hearing
- Day after: clear
There are three answers: nothing listed, hearings in one complex, or hearings across several complexes. The third gets its own warning, because two hearings in one building is an ordinary morning and two in different buildings is a drive between them.
The check counts the cases you track that already have a date. A case the court has not dated yet cannot appear in it.
Kept current without you
Every tracked case is checked against the court record once a day. The check runs every 12 hours once a hearing is within 7 days, and every 6 hours within 2 days.
For a case with alerts on, you are told about a new or moved hearing date, a stage change, disposal, and a new order.
