Delhi court room numbers and VC links, next to your matter
Where Delhi courts publish room numbers and video-conference links, and how a tracked case shows the room, the judge and a Join VC button on its own row.
· 5 min read
A Delhi case record gives you a court number and a designation. It does not give you the room that court sits in, or the link for a video hearing. Those are published separately, court complex by court complex. This guide explains where they come from and how Nyayakosh puts both next to your matter.
Why the room is hard to find
The eCourts record gives a court number and a designation, such as "Additional Sessions Judge-03". The court number is eCourts' own numbering. It is not the number on the door.
The room number and the video-conference link are on each district court's website, in a list of judicial officers. Delhi has several court complexes, and each has its own list. Judges are transferred and rooms change, so a list saved last year is unreliable.
On a hearing morning that means two lookups for every case: the room, and the link.
A directory of Delhi court rooms
Nyayakosh keeps a court directory for Delhi district courts and the High Court. It holds more than 800 seats and is refreshed every week. One row answers three questions: who sits there, which room, and the video-conference link.
You can search the directory by judge, designation or room, and filter by district. It is free once you sign in: open the court directory.
The room next to your matter
You do not have to search the directory for a case you track. Nyayakosh matches the bench named in the court record to its seat in the directory, and the case row shows the result.

Each row gives the room and the judge a line of their own, in full. Where the court publishes a video link, the row has one Join VC button. It opens the court's own meeting room in a new tab.
Read it on the hearing morning
The Today view lists the day's hearings by court building. Each row has the item number, the room, the judge and the video link.

For a Delhi High Court matter that is on the day's list, the court number and the video link are taken from the cause list itself, which is the court's own record for that day.
How far to trust it
- The directory is not a court record. Every screen that shows a room says where it came from and when the directory was last updated. Judges and rooms change, so check the cause list on the day.
- A match can be approximate. Where the designation in the court record does not match a seat exactly, the room is labelled as the best match.
- No match, no room. If the bench cannot be matched, the row shows no room. It does not guess.
- Coverage is Delhi. The directory covers Delhi district courts and the High Court. Cases in other states show the judge from the court record and no room.

Questions
- Is the court number on eCourts the same as the room number?
- No. The court number in an eCourts record is eCourts' own numbering. The room number is published separately by each court complex.
- Where do the room numbers and VC links come from?
- From a court directory of Delhi district courts and the High Court that is refreshed every week. For a Delhi High Court matter on the day's list, the court number and the video link come from the cause list itself.
- Is the court directory free?
- Yes. It is free once you sign in.
- What if the judge has been transferred?
- The directory is refreshed every week, and every room is shown with the date the directory was last updated. It is not a court record, so check the cause list on the day.
